Mon: MLC- I got to meet and be interviewed
by President Cruz. He is so awesome. I know he is just what the mission
needs. He has a wonderful vision for the mission and I know that he is
truly called of God. His wife grew up in this mission as well. So she
knows how to speak the language here. So her and I had a fun time
getting to know each other.
Tues: MLC.2 WOW!!
This mission is going to have lots of changes coming its way but all for
the best. I am so excited to see the progress of myself and the other
missionaries as well.
Wed: Back to work and
back to finding new investigators. We found this lady named Alma and
this day we were able to share lesson 1 with her. She was really excited
to read from the Book of Mormon.
Thus: Normal crazy work day, no lessons but we did have schedule some return appointments.
Fri:
We attended the Meet the President Devotional. And also visited our
ward mission leader who is in the hospital. He is preparing for his
mission and had to get a operation done. So we got to visit him. It was
his first ever sugary so I was able to give some advice to him haha.
Sat:
I spent part of this day on splits with 2 members. The Relief Society
president and anther Sister in the ward. We were able to visit some less
active members and do some visiting teaching. I love the ward here
because there are lots of people eager to do missionary work and find
ways to help the work move forward. I really had fun working and
teaching this week mostly because of the help from the members. We were
able to see just how much they help. We taught one other lesson this
week to Alma. She is really concerned because she has had a daughter
pass away. It just made the lesson that much more spiritual because of
the testimony the member bore to her.
Sun: It was Ward conference here in the Lapaz ward and we got to sing with the choir, and I accompanied them on the piano.
Well
I think that was about it for this week. This morning we got a text
from President Cruz with a great quote I would like to share with you
all.
"If we exercise our faith and look to God
for help, we will not be overwhelmed with the burdens of life. We will
not feel incapable of doing what we are called to do or need to do. We
will be strengthened, and our lives will be filled with peace and joy.
We will come to realize that most of what we worry about is not of
eternal significance, and if it is, the Lord will help us, But we must
have faith to look up and the courage to follow His direction."- Elder
Carl B. Cook (Oct conf.2011)
Have a great week! Love you all :)
