Letter-September 4th, 2016
Hello everyone. This week was a lot of hard work. We spent most of the
time finding and tracting. But it was great. I got to go on exchanges
with Sister Alulod. She is such a funny sister. I was also her STL when
we were back in Roxas, so it was nice to see her again. This week I also
got to ride a carabou this week. It was awesome! YA another highlight
this week was that our recent convert Elias and John Carlo Jacildo, got
to join the the sacrament. It was really exciting for them, and everyone
hahaha. Anyway I hope that you are all doing well. I love you lots!!
Have a good week. Until next time..
Letter-August 28th, 2016
Hello my friends and loved ones, we meet again.
Sister Miggin
This week was great. We are focusing on finding more families. We are really working on getting the teaching pool back up.
Mon: P-day, we had a sports Zone activity. It was fun but got rained out.
Tues:
We got to teach the newly baptized Jacildo family with a member of the
stake presidency. It was a really spiritual lesson and it was hopefully
motivating for them to have him teach them.
Wed: We had a
zone meeting with President and Sister Cruz. They talked about cleaning
apartments and also team work. President Cruz gave a goal to all the
missionaries to baptize families only. So it was nice to know we are
already inline with the mission President and his vision.
Thus:
Today we spent finding. It was also district meeting. Our district
leader sadly found out his Mom passed away a few days ago, so they asked
if I could teach the meeting. It was a little last minute, but I think
ti worked out well.
Fri: We taught a new couple. They have
family who are members and even though they have lots of questions, they
are interested. I am hopeful to see some progression.
Sat:
We were finding most the day and then taught a less active family. The
mom is active and one of her sons, but the rest of her boys are sadly
on and off. But it was awesome to see them ALL at church!
Sun:
Church day :), even though after church it wasn't the best work day, we
didn't get to teach anyone. We had lots of less active members return
this week and also the Jacildo family was there of course and some new
potential investigators, so it was a success.
Overall
this week was awesome. I re-read this week a talk called the 4th
missionary. It is a wonderful talk that helps us see if we are serving
how we should, and becoming who the Lord want's us to be as
missionaries. But it was a great review for me and a wonderful spiritual
study moment too.
I hope you all have a good week. Thanks for the love and support. I love you all!

VICTORY! The Jacildo family got baptized!!!! It was a awesome week!!! I am so excited to share what happened:
Mon: P-day and then I went to a area called Passi to conduct some exchanges.
Tues:
Exchanges with Sister Manilay. The objective of this exchange was to
make sure this area is safe for sisters. So it checked out ok. Actually
the area is so beautiful. I was a little jealous, the fresh air there
was so nice.
Wed: came back to Lapaz and taught one last lesson to the jacildo family.
Thus: Normal work day.
Fri: this day was pretty punted but we carried on.
Sat:
BAPTISM OF THE JACILDO. So today was awesome. They were so excited.
They arrived and said that satan tried to stop them from coming. It was
raining and they couldn't get a ride, so they started walking to the
church. Anyway when they arrived they were so excited. There was a great
turn out from the ward. About 30 + members came to the baptism! The
spirit was so strong. So Jarod Hernal baptised the 2 kids, Chzarina and
John Carlo. Then one of the member of the bishopric, Brother BaleƱa
baptized the parents, Melanie and Elias. They all came out with huge
smiles. My companion and I shed many tears of joy witnessing their
happiness and excitement. After the baptism they shared their
testimonies. It was amazing to feel of their sweet spirit and hear see
the growth of their testimony. I felt so humbled as a missionary to have
been trusted to teach them. It was a spiritually high day, and I was so
excited. I know the promise in D&C18:16 is true. We can share in
the joy as we teach the gospel to others.
Sun: The Jacildo family got confirmed members of the church.
Their
baptism was the highlight of our week. We were so excited and so happy.
Not that we got a baptism, but because we got to see this families
desire to come closer to Christ. And We were so happy to have taught
them the gospel and watch it change them forever.
I hope you all had a good week. I love you all, until next time

Hello everyone, this p-day sure came fast. It was weird to email on
Wednesday instead on Monday. But thankfully it's back to normal now. So
what happened this week.
Mon: MLC- It was so fun. This time we had
the MLC in the mission home. So after the meeting we had a family home
evening with President and sister Cruz and their family. It was a pizza
party/meeting. So much fun!
Tues: MLC.2 today was more about
addressing the concerns of the mission and also the training by the
Assistants and President Cruz.
Wed: P-day!!!!
Thus:
Finally got back to work. Today we also had zone training. So we got to
listen once again to our zone leaders. It's crazy how a month has
already gone by since the last training.
Fri: We prepared the Jacildo family for their baptismal interview.
Sat:
The Jacildo family passed their interviews!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like there
will be a baptism coming up :) We also had a family home evening with
them and another family. We watching the restoration video and also
played some games. They now know how to have FHE.
Sun: Normal
sunday. We sadly didn't get to work after church because I was feeling
sick. But thankfully I woke up this morning ok again.
Well
that's it for this week. Not much happened because we had lots of
meetings. But I am really thankful that the Jacildo family is so excited
for their baptism. I am also so happy with the wards excitement for
them. Hopefully there will be a good turn out for them. I hope you all
have a great week. I love you lots!!!

Hey everyone I know this is a few days late. But the last 2 days I was
at a mission leadership meeting and they moved our p-day to Wednesday.
Just for this week though. Anyway I hope this email find you all safe
and happy. This week was awesome, but wet. It has been raining so much.
The streets are starting to flood again, it reminds me when I first
arrived in the mission. I guess it means a full year of this weather has
come round.
So what happened this week?
Mon: P-day
Tues:
Transfer day, We didn't transfer. But the sister in our apartment
transferred and so we had to stay with her companion and drop of the
other one at the bus station. Then we met other sisters there
transferring and help the get to their new areas. It took some time, but
thankfully none of our sisters got lost.
Wed: We spent this
day helping a set of sisters find and move into their apartment. They
stayed with us last night because their apartment had problems. Then the
Assistants came over and we got to help move them into the new house.
It was fun to help them, but took up some time. Thankfully we were still
able to work in the afternoon and we got to teach the Jacieldo family
:) They are doing great.
Thurs: Normal working day, but sadly no lessons, just lots of finding and lots of rain :) Good thing I love to sing in the rain
Fri:
When we taught the Jacieldo family today, they wanted to put a picture
of the Cebu temple up in their house. It was so awesome to think that
this family is temple bound. But first we need to finish their lessons
so hopefully they can have their baptismal interview.
Sat: Work, work work, we taught some less actives today, it was slower day but still good.
Sun:
Success! It was a awesome Sabbath day. We were able to see 3 less
active families come to church as well as our investigators. It's so
humbling to see them come and want to listen. The only problem with
today was the power was out because of the wind and rain, so it was more
feeling the spirit than listening to the words of the speakers.
Well
that was it for this week. I really loved getting to help serve the
sisters under our assignment and also see some progression in our area.
We are setting goals to improve our training and exchanges for this
transfer.
Until next time,
Sister MigginLetter-July 31st, 2016
Hello everyone, this week flew by. As usually it was super busy but very rewarding.
Mon: P-day
Tues:
We went on exchanges with the sisters in jaro. I worked with my Bata
Sister Pancho. Actually we didn't work because she has a hurt leg. We
actually spent the day in the mission home. So we spent he day with the
mission president and his wife. I love them it was so fun. But sadly we
found out she has to go to the mission hospital in manila to get checked
out :( so it was a sock to learn she was leaving the next day.
Wed:Worked
in our area again. We got to teach the Jacieldo family and have a
member couple work with us. It was so wonderful because we were able to
see their faith grow.
Thus: normal work day
Fri: we spent time searching for new apartment. And also got to teach our progressing family again
Sat:
We had splits with the sisters. I worked with Sister Caveiro. She is a
new missionary. She has only been in the mission 6 weeks. I was
impressed with her though. She was a lot of fun to work with.
Sun:
We saw some miracles this week. The Jacieldo family was able to come to
church. I am was so happy to see the ward fellowship them. It was
awesome. They stayed the whole time and participated in the classes and
everything. Later that day we spent time finding and found 2 new
families!
Ok this week was just great. I am so
happy in the work. My companion and I area really focusing on finding
families and it has been so rewarding.
love you all,
Sister Miggin
Letter-July 24th, 2016
Hello my loved ones, hope all is well. So this week was awesome as usual
:) It's hard for weeks not be good in the service of the Lord, So what
happened this week:
Sister Miggin
Mon:P-day! We went to a Pizza place with the Zone leaders and Ap for one of their birthday, it was pretty good.
Tues:
Exchanges with Sister Fotu! She is from Tonga. We had alot of fun. She
is going home soon, but still working hard. We got stuck in a crazy rain
storm during the day, but at the end of the day we taught the Jacieldo
family and they accepted a baptismal date!
Wed: We spent most of this day finding and talking to people, we got a few return appointments, so it was a great day
Thurs:We
got to teach Fricelyn, she is a young adult. She is going to school
here and staying with a member. She is really great in the lessons, it
has been fun to teach her because she is really looking for the truth.
She agreed to be baptized too!
Fri: We had a zone training
with President Cruz. He was sick but still was able to teach with such
power and authority. It was a wonderful training. Then we had a dinner
at the stake presidents 1st councilors house. :)
Sat:We went
on splits with the sisters in our apartment. I worked with Sister
Manlangit. We also attended a relief society activity unexpectedly. But
we were lucky we arrived right around the time where they ate.
Sun:
THE WHOLE JACIELDO FAMILY CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so so
happy to see them. I know they felt the spirit. It was a amazing
sacrament. I was pleased with the members too, welcoming them. Even
though they only stayed for 1 hour, it was a success. After church we
then had a training for the ward missionaries about how to do member
missionary work, and how to fellowship.
That
was about it for this week. It just flew by because we were so busy,
this week we had lots going on too so I am excited to keep working and
serving. Thanks everyone for the love and support.
have a good week!
